Taronga’s newly developed Main Entrance Plaza is a free access area where you can plan your Zoo adventure or get a taste of this famous Zoo even if you are only able to stay for a short visit.
There’s plenty to see and do at the plaza. You’ll first encounter beautiful artworks by Aboriginal artists as part of the “Sculpture Walk” which continues through to the inner plaza. In the inner plaza you can see some of the Zoo’s wildlife exhibits which are open to the public free of charge. You’ll see the wetland birds and soon be able to glimpse tree kangaroos and Pademelon wallabies.
