The Sun-Herald Sydney Family Show welcomes you to enjoy a day of family fun, with carnival rides, animals, showbags, art and craft exhibitions, workshops and live entertainment this April 5 to 22. Hosted at the Entertainment Quarter, Moore Park, The Sun-Herald Sydney Family Show offers FREE entry, making it a family-friendly day out for all. The show pays homage to some of the greatest traditions of shows and celebrates the community spirit that brings people together.
The Sydney Family Show began in 2010, attracting 158,000 visitors in its inaugural year and in 2011 organisers expect visitor numbers to reach over 250,000. The show is part of the long tradition of shows which feature free gate entry, animals, carnival rides, showbags and interactive entertainment. Shows are held in towns and cities across Australia and are a time for competition, spectacle and entertainment and Sydney Family Show’s uniqueness is its ability to combine local urban culture with the tradition of shows and strong community spirit.

Presented by Centennial Parklands
Just 10 minutes from the CBD, Centennial Parklands is the perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of the City. This is the ideal place to get active – hire a bike, walk the dog, enjoy a round of golf, or have a go at horse riding. Or if you want to slow down the pace you’ll find endless space to have a family picnic or to read a book under one of our 15,000 trees!
The Parklands offers exciting kids events throughout the school holidays. Become a bush ranger, take part in a dinosaur dig, hold a meteorite or create a catapult! Kids will love getting hands-on to explore nature and discover more about the world around them.
Centennial Parklands is a self-funded public park and entry is free. We rely on your support to fund maintenance and upkeep and to ensure your Parklands is here for future generations.
